Der weite Horizont der Prärie, hinter dem die Sonne untergeht, galoppierende Pferde und lässige, Lassos schwingende Cowboys. Es sind diese Bilder, die dem Mythos Amerika eine einzigartige visuelle Gestalt verleihen, ihn ebenso sicht- wie spürbar machen. Wie kaum ein anderer zeitgenössischer Fotograf hat sich Dieter Blum (*1936 in Esslingen) mit diesem Thema auseinandergesetzt, es aktualisiert und hinterfragt. Die 60 Fotografien der Serie Cowboys, die 1992 für Marlboro entstanden sind, legen hiervon Zeugnis ab und werden in diesem Ausstellungskatalog erstmals vollständig zusammengeführt. Der Topos des »Lonesome Cowboy«wird auf humorvolle Weise gebrochen und durch einen »Arbeiter« ersetzt, der im Team alltäglichen Tätigkeiten nachgeht – an der Bar steht, Zeitung liest, Wäsche wäscht, Ski fährt, ein Bad nimmt. I had the worst nightmare using the APLB Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide Lotion. I used this product consistently for about three weeks, hoping it would help with brightening and hyperpigmentation, but instead it completely damaged my skin barrier.
What started as mild irritation quickly turned into severe itching, redness, inflamed bumps, and intense skin sensitivity. Eventually, my skin developed dermatitis-like symptoms with painful inflammation, red rashes, and even slight bleeding in certain areas from constant irritation and scratching.
Instead of improving, this lotion made my skin look worse — angry, inflamed, textured, and extremely reactive. The itching was unbearable, and the red bumps took a long time to calm down.
If you have sensitive skin or are prone to eczema, contact dermatitis, or allergic reactions, please patch test very carefully before using this product. My experience was honestly terrible, and recovering my skin afterward took much longer than the three weeks I spent using it. (Still recovering after 2 months)
