The STANDARD KFR4.5 is a furler that can withstand a workload of 4.5 T. It is intended for sailboats from 40 to 55 feet. The KF4.5 is a Karver furler of 3rd generation. It is fitted as standard with a carbon / Kevlar® continuous line wheel, a reinforced ABS casing protected by K Krok protection, our 2 in 1 K Snap snap shackle, our remote locking system for the continuous line wheel and a swivel also protected by our K Krok impact-resistant protection. There are many options available to make it unique and perfectly suited to your needs.

The STANDARD KFR4.5 is delivered with a drum and its swivel. It allows furling in complete safety from the cockpit of complementary so-called “flying” sails such as a gennaker, a code 0, a staysail, etc… It is also possible to store an asymmetric spinnaker by equipping it with our KTS adapter.

For more than 15 years, Karver has been shaking up the market by regularly offering new innovations. We are at the origin of the remote locking systems of the continuous line wheel, of the system of quick furling line installation, captive fast pins, friction sheaves with fast pins, carbon drums, … and we are above all recognized for offering the lightest and most compact furlers on the market. This is the reason why we are very present aboard offshore racing yachts and aboard the most efficient yachts such as the Imocas which are equipped with more than 70% of our furlers.
This 3rd Karver’s generation of furlers definitely places them in a pioneering position.

Weight: 2.145kg

Boat Size: 40-50ft

Working Load: 4500kgs

Breaking Load: 9000kgs

Major innovations :
– Patented carbon & Kevlar continuous line wheel > Resistance, better grip, less wear, aesthetics, weight gain, customization possibilities. The weight gain linked to the use of carbon has allowed us to strengthen more essential mechanical elements.
– Karver Snap (K Snap) 2 in 1> 2: 1 friction sheave + snap shackle > Very compact & resistant. The only snap shackle on the market to actually hold the full load. The friction sheave will be particularly useful to position your furler on a bowsprit in complete safety.
– The K Kroks are silicone impact-resistant protectors that we have installed as standard on the ABS casings and the swivels of the Standard, Classic and Structural versions. These new ergonomic protections will effectively protect the boat (hull, deck, mast, etc, ..) and the furler itself.
– Aesthetics : Black range, carbon, mirror polished stainless steel, hard anodization of aluminum.

Other new features :
– Wide continuous line wheel available for KF1.5, KF3.0 : More torque for less effort and more power….
– New opening system for captive fast pins that are more ergonomic, more reliable and easier to clean.
– Replacing the swivel shackles with lashing eyes. More compact, lighter and more resistant.
– Possibility to add a wood veneer on the continuous line wheel and / or on the carbon housing
– Always more performance :
o Lighter (carbon)
o More compact (K Snap and lashing swivel eyes)
o More resistant (carbon)
o Easier to use (new low friction bearings / new fast pins / Snap)
o Easier to maintain (new design )
– Reinforcement of the remote locking system of the continuous line wheel. Possibility of not ordering this standard accessory.
– Definitely the best quality / price ratio on the market

Karver standards kept
– Automatic “loosening” of the furling line when it is not under tension : limits wear, avoids burning your fingers.
– Quick installation of the furling line (Karver invention since 2003!)
– Standard delivery of the automatic lock that can be dismantled in a few seconds (Karver invention since 2011… criticized by all our competitors… and now imitated by all !
– List of XXLong accessories including carbon housing, KTS, cableless, 3: 1 friction sheaves, optional 2:1 blocks, clamps, etc, …

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
