Mechanical shifting at it’s best. Eagle 90 delivers the dream, and then some. Featuring the same Full Mount derailleur architecture as it’s AXS Transmission siblings, it is unquestionably robust. And for the just in case, the derailleur body features replaceable outer and inner parallelogram links, skid plates, and a tool-free threaded cage assembly, making it the most rebuildable derailleur we’ve ever built. At the heart of the system is a sleek and sturdy forged aluminum E-MTB crankset, with a drive-unit specific T-Type chainring. Shifting under load is a signature of Eagle Transmission, and this is made possible on 90 with an XS-1275 T-Type cassette that features full X-Sync technology, and a premium double-click T-Type Actuation mechanical shifter.  For those inclined to DIY, mechanical Eagle Transmission has a revolutionary simple four step setup procedure: Prepare. Hang. Tighten. Route. Featuring no limit screws, no b-tension, and no guesswork. Built to take you as far as your imagination and body will allow, Eagle 90 Transmission provides riders with an unparalleled ride experience.

FEATURES:

  • Tough and robust: Hangerless Interface and Full Mount give the Eagle Transmission derailleur a remarkably strong attachment, clamping around both sides of the frame itself and eliminating the need for a hanger. This super strong connection eliminates variance and improper adjustment across frame designs. It also eliminates hanger failures and allows the derailleur to rotate backward in the case of an impact.
  • The best mechanical shift under load. Period: Even with the added watts of E-MTB, the X-Sync tooth profile and 44 specific shifting points on Eagle Transmission cassettes allow you to shift with unstoppable precision under all the power you can muster. It’s the best mechanical shift performance under load there is. It’s not even a contest.
  • The world’s easiest mechanical setup: Eagle Transmission gives you an unbelievably simply setup procedure that will blow your mind the first time you do it. Just prepare, hang, and tighten. Installing a mechanical Eagle Transmission? The process is shared between Eagle 90 and 70, with one additional step to route and tension a standard shift cable. Either way, simply follow the steps and you’re ready to rip.
  • Mechanical Shifters: Eagle Transmission mechanical shifters combine decades of ergonomic refinement, delivering a positive mechanical shift. A new architecture routes cables parallel to the bar for pairing perfectly with stealth routed SRAM brakes. For riders who appreciate the satisfying tactility of the mechanical shift, this is love at first click. Speaking of clicks, Eagle Mechanical Transmission offers two shifter variants: Single-click shifters for mandatory usage with E-MTBs, and double-click shifters for human powered bikes. Shifter clicks are optimized to maintain best shift under load shift quality.
  • The cleanest mechanical cockpit: To complete the cockpit, we sought to design a mechanical dropper lever that not only matched our Stealth brakes and Transmission shifters but offered optimized performance as well. Compatible with most cable actuated dropper posts, our dropper lever features ergonomics and routing based on mechanical Transmission shifting. Clean paddles, clean cables. Left and right.
  • Tough, reliable, game-changing rebuildability: The Eagle 90 derailleur is so durable that you’ll hopefully never need to rebuild it. But if it becomes necessary, it’s the most rebuildable derailleur ever. And all it takes is minutes to rebuild it, with three basic tools. Rebuild kits and skid plates can be found easily. All to help keep your Eagle 90 derailleur on the trails for a lifetime.

A Comprehensive and Well-Mapped Camino Guide
Format: Kindle
This updated edition of the Camino de Santiago guide offers a thorough overview of all six major routes. It's really great that you can download detailed, panoramic maps for each route, providing clear, step-by-step directions that are extremely helpful for planning and navigating. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pilgrim, the insights into each stage, town, and accommodation (from hostels to albergues) are invaluable. The book also covers essential packing tips and advice on physical preparation, which I found very practical. There are bonus links for accommodation guides are very useful, as well as other bonus links scattered throughout. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that I felt it could include more in-depth cultural or historical background for each route. That said, if you’re looking for a guide that’s all about practicality and gets you started with planning your pilgrimage, this is an excellent choice.

This book is gold, well written.
Format: Paperback
This is one of few IT books I'd recommand. Reading this book really save a lot of grindings in advancing my career. The knowledge shared in the book is came from real and actual practice in the IT field. I wish there are more authors like Jay. This book is a treasure to me, it is unlike most of the other books I read that were either teaching outdated config or title baits, for example, the "official" CCNP 350-401 book that taught me the outdated ikev1 crypto map config. I own the LPI essential certificate during my college time, but the college course didn't give me the same confidence as this book. I am now feeling very comfortable and confident with Linux system and I found the beauty in it. I am 100% recommanding this book to everyone are interested in Linux, either for personal or at work. This book will be my reference to go at all time.

Best written tech book I've read in a long time
Format: Paperback
I've been following Jay on youtube since I decided to ditch Microsoft for Linux. He is a blend of Sys Admin and teacher. He makes a complicated subject understandable even to a 75 year old retiree. The best way to master Ubuntu server is to listen, watch, read and do. Thanks Jay; GOOD BOOK!

Comprehensive?
Format: Paperback
I am a huge fan of Jay LaCroix and happy to support him by buying this book. That said, this book is in my opinion fully priced and not very comprehensive. My guess is it has more to do with Packt publishing and less to do with Jay. For sure, the content that is there is good and easy to consume ... as per Jay's style. And to be fair a truly comprehensive book would probably be another 1000 pages long. But a couple examples: cursory coverage of systemd:. eg discussion is on chron, crontab, etc instead of systemd timers. NTP server: if you have an Ubuntu server it would be great to set it up as your LAN NTP server for all your devices to sync time. Here is the coverage in this book "all servers should have the ntp package installed" Really? Do I need to disable systemd-timesyncd? Do I need to limit access by lan? How about setting up an Nginx reverse proxy for LAN services like unifi, pihole, etc? Sorry 3 pages of coverage. I am not trying to run down this book, only suggest that if you are looking for an authoritative comprehensive guide on Ubuntu 22.04, this probably will not be your only purchase. With all the foregoing, I would still buy this book if for no other reason than to support the author.
