Description

Cubaris murina 'Papaya' is believed to be the only pink isopod currently being bred in captivity, and one of the very few true albino isopods in the hobby. Its pale pink coloring, albino eyes, and semi-translucent body make it visually distinct from all other Cubaris morphs. Its rarity, subtle appearance, and steady breeding pace make it a standout choice for collectors and breeders alike.

Master Culture

For successfully setting up a master culture setup of isopods we recommend using 6 qt - 32 qt plastic shoebox tubs. Locking tubs are optional but provide added security. Creating a series of small holes on alternating sides of the container will help to achieve healthy flow and reduce mold. Adding 1-3 inches (more for burrowing species) of pre-soaked Pangea ABG Substrate will provide a suitable substrate. Adding Pangea Sphagnum Moss, Pangea Leaf Litter Decor (the more the better), and pieces of wood or cork bark will help provide multiple layers for isopods to inhabit and feel safe. Mist culture as needed.

*Co-habitation amongst separate species of Isopod is not recommended.

Feels luxurious and silky soft! It is not very thick but does keep me very warm. In fact I have to kick my legs out sometimes when I’m using it. It does shed A LOT! Is give it a 7 out of 10 for quality because of the shedding and the top and underneath pieces are only secured on the edges, which makes it move around and I have to grab the edges and shake to get its form back to normal. I would definitely purchase again. Especially if the shedding reduces it goes away after I run it through a wash cycle. I do NOT recommend drying in the dryer. It will mat I can almost guarantee that. Almost all blankets like these do if you dry them in a dryer with heat. Maybe no heat tumble might work, but NO heat.

You will not regret buying this blanket!

I was actually looking for a cotton blanket to add to my bed for fall and winter. Then I came across THIS one. It happens to be the exact shade of (“seaglass” or teal or aqua or whatever you choose to call it) blue green that I am currently redoing my bedroom in. I think that it should be obvious by now that I’m giving this furry looking blanket two thumbs way way up! Sometimes I order things from Amazon and by the time they arrive Ive already forgotten about them. I was anxiously awaiting my blanket friends arrival and I was prepared to be very meh. Not this time! Nope! Best purchase ever! I know what I’m getting everyone for Christmas! Buy several for future use. This blanket has made me deliriously happy! Update: After owning this blanket for, like, a while, I still love it. Shockingly it washes up beautifully! A word of advice. Fabric softener is a big no no. It gets the fur gummy and feeling like unwashed hair after a month. I imagine. I’ve personally never gone with unwashed hair for more than a day or two. It is at its fluffy and soft best when you use one of those new Downey rinses instead. That seems to remove all residue and it comes out feeling even better than brand new. A word of warning. Do not picnic on this blanket. The fur will encase and preserve your crumbs better than Tupperware. You may find a lost treasure that you don’t actually want in there. Best used for sleeping only.
