It is with the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we cultivate the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and the strength to be a martyr comes from this confirmation in the Holy Spirit. There is much to say for the third Person of the Holy Trinity, the fiery love ever poured out from the Father and Son. The best response to the reception of God, the Holy Spirit, is humility and cultivation of His gifts. He empowers each person to realize His kingdom, giving each of us gifts to work with Him for the good of others. In the disciples' initial reception of the Holy Spirit, we have a powerful vision of personal fulfillment through cooperation with the Holy Spirit.
