Author Edward Bryant Holman has studied Mexican curanderismo from the viewpoint of a folklorist since 1991, having interviewed hundreds of subjects and reading various books on the topic and on related, supporting subjects - historical, anthropological, and cultural material in English and Spanish - and has published a huge trove of articles on the Internet in the interim. He lives on the Mexican border, basing most of his research out of Ojinaga, Chihuahua.
