Ad van Liempt deed diepgaand onderzoek naar de 'gentleman-commandant', van wiens reputatie weinig overblijft. Gemmeker was een bureaucraat, die zijn meerderen blindelings gehoorzaamde. Op enige empathie met de slachtoffers viel hij niet te betrappen. Later deed hij alles om zijn verantwoordelijkheid te ontlopen of op anderen af te schuiven. Hij heeft zijn leven lang ontkend dat hij wist welk lot de joden in het oosten te wachten stond. Na zijn terugkeer naar Düsseldorf probeerde de Duitse justitie nog bijna twintig jaar zijn onbevredigende berechting in Nederland te corrigeren, uiteindelijk zonder resultaat. Ad van Liempt deed jarenlang onderzoek. Hij las alle, vaak geheime dossiers in Nederlandse en Duitse archieven en sprak met tal van betrokkenen in Nederland en Duitsland - zelfs met twee nog levende dochters van Gemmeker.

Pretty darn good frother...

This is a pretty darn good frother/whisk, which we use primarily for mixing Crystal Light and LMNT drinks. It holds a charge for a long time and it is easy to recharge with the USB-C port and cable. My only complaint is that you must hold the power button continuously while operating it which is challenging to do using tall cups. It would be much better if is was a two stage on-off switch and had a longer wand, which isn't as long as it could be. But the unit is lightweight, easy to use and very versatile. Overall, I would buy it again.
