Blessed with a formidable front woman in Brett Anderson, a guitar heroine in Allison Robertson, and a pummeling rhythm section in bassist Maya Ford and drummer Torry Castellano, The Donnas were one of the greatest punk bands of the '90s, male or female, bringing a uniquely hedonistic yet feminist viewpoint to the genre.

Now, with the full cooperation of the band, and in tandem with it's release of the band's four Lookout! Albums, Real Gone Music is releasing a retrospective of their early days recording for (mostly) the Lookout! #label featuring 14 non-LP sides.

Almost all of these songs, from their first single "High School Yum Yum," to their REO cover "Keep On Loving You," hadn't been on vinyl since their original release until the arrival of this collection; rare photos and memorabilia plus track-by-track commentary and liner notes (on the enclosed insert) by all four band members make Early Singles 1995-1999 truly indispensable for Donnas fans. Remastered for LP by Mike Milchner of Sonic Vision, and pressed on dark purple vinyl!

Cute story about social anxiety
Format: Hardcover
I picked this up because I saw it on the shelf in the library. The story was written in a way that was relatable to children who might have social anxiety and helps the child realize that these are normal feelings. The illustrations went with the story very well and were perfect for a child to enjoy with the story. I highly recommend this book.

Adorable and surprising!
Format: Hardcover
The artwork in this book is simply adorable. The cute little animals. The fun tunnels to follow. The subtle textures added to the art (look at the sheet music in the tunnels!) And all of the titles of the books each animal has. Kids (and adults) will love looking over all of the details. And my favorite, and surprising bit, is that Mole (and a new friend) are allowed to remain introverted. They're not forced to change at the end into a situation they're not comfortable with. I think this is an amazing ending and one that you wouldn't see in many other books dealing with this situation. What a wonderful book!

A shy mole is both true to his friend and true to himself.
Format: Hardcover
Mole makes cream puffs and braves a long underground trip to his friend Rabbit's noisy party. Noisy parties are not for Mole so he gives Rabbit the gift and is on his way. But all is not lost. Another guest, hidden behind a lovely bouquet, is of the same mindset and the presence of these two loyal but shy friends does not seem to be a complete accident. Mole's honest monologue is endearing and the above and below ground scenery of the animal community is sweet.
